Scope
Biotecnología Aplicada is a journal that publishes results and experiences from scientific research in the field of modern Biotechnology.
The main topics are:
a) molecular genetics and recombinant DNA-related technologies;
b) prophylactic and therapeutic use of molecules obtained by biotechnology;
c) immuno-technology and development of diagnostic methods;
d) chemistry, biochemistry and the design of molecules having biological activity;
e) the application of recombinant DNA techniques and its products in agriculture, animal science and the industry;
f) tissue culture;
g) transgenesis, fermentation, recovery and purification of biotechnological products;
i) scaling-up, designing industrial plants and their economic assessment
j) control and automation of processes.
Additionally, Biotecnología Aplicada attempts to extend its topics to the remaining national and international fields of research in applied biosciences, such as immunology, animal models of human pathologies, bioethics, neurosciences, bioremediation and other areas that are directly or indirectly related to biotechnology.
