Centro Agrícola is a quarterly journals of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas. It was founded in 1973. It came to publish scientific articles on plant biology, plant breeding, genetic improvement, soil, interaction with abiotic and biotic factors and plant health, but has expanded its profile to other related topics. Electronic ISSN number is 2072-2001. It is open access and articles are refereed through a peer evaluation process double blind system by specialists of great experience and prestige.

The journal's mission is to publish original and unpublished contributions from researchers around the world in agricultural issues. The themes are plant health, botany, plant physiology, plant breeding of crops, soils, genetics and breeding, plant nutrition, agro-ecology, bio-active substances, sociology and rural development. To which contemplates the following types or modalities: Scientific article, short communication, Item Reference, and article analysis, opinion or views.
