Mining & Geology is an on line scientific-technological journal. It is aimed at researchers, professors, students and anyone interested in research results from the fields of geology, mining and physical and extractive metallurgy mainly, including the modeling, automation and energy efficiency of the processes of these industries, as well as environmental aspects that contribute to the sustainable development of the mining-metallurgical activity in general.

Mainly original and revision articles are published; at the discretion of the Editorial Committee, letters to the editor, brief communications and scientific essays are occasionally accepted, if them deserve to be disclosed due to their interest or importance for the development of scientific activity in these fields.

Mining & Geology follows a policy of Open Access, giving immediate access to its contents. It is an refereed journal that applies peer review (double blind) to most scientific articles submitted whose observe the publication standards.

The journal is not responsible for the opinions or criteria of the authors, nor accepts works previously published or under the consideration of the Editorial Board of another journal.

Originals and review articles are preferred on other categories of material items. The first should not exceed 15 pages, while revisions may be extended up to 30 pages. All articles must be structured in: INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS AND DISCUSSION. Each of these sections will be highlighted in capital letters in the text of the work. Every article must be accompanied by a summary of information in no more than 200 words and written in impersonal style, containing the purpose of the work, the methods used, the main results and the most important conclusion. Three to eight key words or phrases may be added to facilitate indexing work. It must be provided the translation into English of the title, abstract and keywords.

The sending of manuscripts, processing and publication does not offer any cost to the authors, it is totally free. The files (.doc; .docx) of the works should not exceed two megabytes (2Mb) and will be sent online by the journal management system (OJS) accessible through http://www.ismm.edu.cu/revistamg, for which registration is required. During the online submission process, all the mandatory fields must be filled in and the data of all the authors must be provided, not just the one that is sending the information.
