The Journal Salud Animal is published by the National Center for Animal and Plant Health (CENSA). It shows the research work of the center and other national and international institutions. It publishes novel articles related to biochemistry, milk hygiene, biotechnology, microbiology, parasitology, pathology, quality, clinical trials, epizootiology, pharmacology, genetics, animal reproduction, toxicology, zoohygiene immunology biomodels and production processes. It is addressed to professionals and technicians in the field of veterinary medicine and related sciences.

It is published quarterly since 1979.
