A partir del estudio de qué entender por liderazgo y cómo identificar al líder científico, en el presente trabajo se ha procedido a la búsqueda de diferentes posiciones y resultados concretos que aporta la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas Enrique José Varona mediante el proyecto «Aporte teórico-práctico de la Universidad de Ciencias Pedagógicas Enrique José Varona a la obra educacional de la Revolución Cubana». Indudablemente, las características del líder científico no solo están centradas en los aportes científicos, tecnológicos e innovadores, sino también en cualidades que, como profesional de la educación, lo identifican y enaltecen socialmente.

From the study of what to understand by leadership and how to identify the scientific leader, in the present work it has been carried out the search of different positions and concrete results that the University of Pedagogical Sciences Enrique José Varona contributes through the project “Theoretical-practical contribution of the University of Pedagogical Sciences Enrique José Varona to the educational work of Cuban Revolution”. Undoubtedly, the characteristics of the scientific leader are not only centered on the scientific, technological and innovative contributions, but also on qualities that, as an education professional, identify and socially enhance him.
