In today’s society, final sale prices of products are something to be considered by producers for decision-making. This is why how fast and symmetrically price changes are transmitted along value chains will influence profit distribution and welfare of individuals within value chains. This paper examines pricing, value chain formation as a result of the capitalist development, and price transmission theories.
