Abstract

CRUZ HERNANDEZ, Diana María. Three Santiago de Cuba engravers look at their city. UH [online]. 2015, n.280, pp. 120-132. ISSN 0253-9276.

For the last forty years, the city of Santiago de Cuba, as an urban space, has been a significant pretext within its engraving art activity. The poorly conventional look of the artists in the recreation of this topic is highlighted. Outstanding visual arts personalities of this province such as José Julián Aguilera Vicente, Miguel Ángel Lobaina, Jorge Knight Vera, or Vivian Lozano Caballero, illustrate this particular development region within this plastic art.

Keywords : Santiago de Cuba visual arts; José Julián Aguilera Vicente; Miguel Ángel Lobaina; Jorge Knight Vera; Vivian Lozano Caballero.
