Abstract

PEREZ GALLARDO, Leonardo B. The Families in the 2019 Cuban Constitution. Special Reference to Marriage and Common-Law Relationship. UH [online]. 2020, n.289, pp. 107-137.  Epub Apr 25, 2020. ISSN 0253-9276.

The new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, proclaimed on April 10, 2019, stands on the porch of a new family law, more democratic, inclusive, pluralistic, eudemonist, protective of the different family models. The challenges for the ordinary legislator are multiple and varied. If people want to be in tune with the principles, values and rules the Constitution has enshrined in its norms, then they have to understand the different life options that a pluralist society claims, in a way that allows a harmonious coexistence in contemporary Cuban society.

Keywords : affection; Constitution; families; legal institution; marriage; common law relationship.
