Abstract
AGRAMONTES PEREIRA, Servando; GUTIERREZ AGUILERA, Orlando; CORDOVES SAGAS, Rolando and GONZALEZ POLLEDO, Ulises. Influencia del ejercicio físico sobre algunos factores de riesgo de la cardiopatía isquémica. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 1998, vol.17, n.3, pp. 214-221. ISSN 1561-3011.
Three hundred patients presenting ischemic heart disease (150 perfomed systemic aerobics and 150 controls not performed any exercise) were studied, to describe frequency of some coronary risk factors in ischemic heart disease and also, frequency of physical exercises on it as well as to relate behaviour of myocardial efficiency rate, training pulse, and maximum oxygen consumption. In all of them, we assess folowing variables: age, sex, diagnosis, of ischemic heart disease, weight, higt blood pressure, tabacism, glycemia, cholesterol, miocardial efficiency rate, training pulse, and maximum oxygen consumption. Cardiac infarction was the most frequent form of ischemic heart disease, and sedentariness and high blood pressure, were the more frequent risk factors. Systemic training of aerobics, included in treatment of I Group, positively influenced on mean values of body weight, glycemia, cholesterol, systolic and diastolic blood pressure figures, and number of smoked cigarettes/day. There were significant figures in II group.
