Abstract

Briefly, we present some aspects of life and work of Alfred Bernhard Nobel, which are backgrounds of that is considered the maximum recognition to reward the work of the best exponents of culture and science, for the benefit of humanity. Importance of Nobel Prize as impelling force of the development of sciences in general, and of biomedical researches in particular, es demonstrated. Finally, some of the most significant esemples are quoted, which emphasize the right of reward outcomes of such researches in view of its importance to preservation of health and prolongation of life.
