Abstract
BERNALES, Diego M; CARIDE, Facundo; LEWIS, Adrián and MARTIN, Lagens. Polymerized collagen membranes: considerations on their use in guided tissue and osseous regeneration techniques. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2004, vol.23, n.2, pp. 65-74. ISSN 1561-3011.
MEMBRACEL- dentistry use (MO)- high purity reabsorbable collagen membrane - was developed taking into account as an antecedent MEMBRACEL - collagen dressing, for medical use, designed as temporary cutaneous dressing. Additionally, preliminary reports of a series of works that showed the biocompatibility of MO in the first stage supported on cellular culture of keratinocytes were presented. Lab animal tests were performed, which provided data that encouraged clinical experience. The results were backed up by microscopy, histological slides, transilumination and photographs
Keywords : Collagen, reabsorbable membrane; guided bone regeneration; guided tissue regeneration.
