Introduction: Surgical treatment of chest wall tumours (primary or metastatic) requires specific skills by surgeons, due that oncological surgery needs suitable reconstruction as a condition for the survival of the patient. Methods: We present a series of 26 patients who needed extensive resection of the thoracic wall (external and/or ribs) with disease free margins and reconstruction with syntetic tissues or muscle-skin flaps pedicled single or combing during the same surgical intervention. Results: The aetiology of the extirpated tumours, following pathology assessment, were bening 6 and 20 malignant with predominance of 6 chondrosarcoma, 5 metastatic, 3 Askin and others histological tipes. Haven`t been died in this series by complications but if by progression disease in 9.The survival was by 5 year(44,7%) coincidence with the mayority of died in advace stade. Conclusions: Extensive resection of tumours of the chest wall with reconstruction using prostheses and muscle-skin flaps is a safe method that can be performed in the same surgical intervention period, it also provide a good overlife and an optimal life quality.
