Abstract

ZALDIVAR OCHOA, Miriam  and  VILLAR SUAREZ, Manuel. Evaluación clínicoinmunológica de la otitis media crónica en niños. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2003, vol.19, n.5, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3038.

Clinical and immunological disturbances in children with chronic otitis media, whose fundamental symptom is persistent bilateral or unilateral otorrhea that mostly occured in the first years of life, were studied. Coherent research methods were implemented; this allowed achieving some results such as 52% of the studied universe had immunological deficit and 76,9% presented with humoral immunology. These results served to guide the therapeutical action. Significant differences between patients who had been applied treatment for their immune deficit with highly satisfactory response and those with immune disorder that was not solved.
