Abstract

Some updated elements on the Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease, an affection of the hip that have been dealth with in multiple scientific papers during the last years, were reviewed. An attempt was made to delve deeply into historical, etiologic and clinical aspects. Reference was made to the most recent classifications, which were correlated with the behaviour to be followed. Emphasis was made on the conservative and surgical treatments used.
