This paper presented the case of a 40 years-old mechanic who was affected by a highly intensive trauma that suddenly caused a forced hyperextension of the right hand fingers, which brought about musculotendinous rupture of the fifth finger deep flexor. Comments were made on the characteristics of this lesion.
