Abstract

A common cause of care in hand surgery practice is the appearance of a tumor or tumor like lesion. Fortunately, the majority of them are benign. Nevertheless, malignant lesions with benign-like appearance or behavior should not be underestimate since it may cause delayed diagnosis or inappropriate initial treatment with catastrophic functional consequences or even life threatening. Approach must be done in accordance to musculoskeletal tumor guidelines and surgical procedures carefully planned and executed by a surgeon with the experience to effectively resect and reconstruct if needed.
