Abstract

GONZALEZ REUS, Marianela  and  RAMOS, Mayra. HOST PLANTS OF Raoiella indica HIRST (ACARI: TENUIPALPIDAE) IN SANTIAGO DE CUBA MUNICIPALITY. Rev. Protección Veg. [online]. 2010, vol.25, n.1, pp. 5-6. ISSN 2224-4697.

Within the researches developed from the recent report of Raoiella indica Hirst, a survey was carried out in the province of Santiago de Cuba to find out the host plant range of this mite. Twenty one plant species were found as host. Of them, 13 belong to Arecaceae, five to Musaceae and one to Strelitziaceae and Zingiberaceae, respectively. Mycrocycas calocoma and Cycas sp. are reported as a new host plants for this mite.
