Abstract
HERNANDEZ QUINTANA, Ania R.. Ergonomic principles applied to knowledge maps: advantages and disadvantages of the new forms of information representation. ACIMED [online]. 2006, vol.14, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1024-9435.
The new electronic information presentation models design is based on the application of ergonomic principles; these take into consideration cognitive aspects such as the perception and self learning, seeking to facilitate the intelligent interaction with the information systems. The conceptual cartography has relatively recent antecedents in the area of library science and Information Science, but, in these moments, on account of their dynamism and of the possibilities of personalization that offer, tendencies are seen, that aim at a generalized use, particularly, to negotiate a significant and more subtle indexation. The points of contact and the divergences between knowledge maps and thesauri are undertaken, as well as the new competences the information professionals should develop to contribute to the construction of the most efficient presentation models from a socio-semantic paradigm.
