Abstract

BROCOS FERNANDEZ, José Martín  and  SALINAS PARDO, Carolina. Selection of the information resources available in the invisible Web. ACIMED [online]. 2006, vol.14, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1024-9435.

In order to develop a useful reference tool to search information in what is known as the invisible Internet , that is, that set of information accessible through Internet which, by diverse reasons, is not processed by the search engines, with special attention to the sources of information on science and technology, and based on such criteria as accessibility, usefulness, usability, number of databases to which it offers access and quality, an useful and up-to-date collection of resources was created. Such selection covers volatile and dynamic information in special formats and resources only accessible by a gateway to a database. It includes resources such as: library directories, collective catalogues, books and bibliographical databases, directories, gray literature and multidisciplinary sources, files and deposits of documents, as well as the so-called multisearchers.

Keywords : WWW; deep Internet,; intranet,; files..
