Abstract

A Clinical ,early phase II, open essay was peaformed with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the acupunctural treatment according to German teeth microsystem in affections of the osteomyoarticular system (OMAS). The study universe was composed of patients remitted from the orthopedic service to the Natural and Tradicional Medicine Departament at "Rodolfo Ramírez Esquivel" Polyclinic of Camagüey municipality, in which a general odontologist carried out the German hologram of teeth, 90 patients, out of all examined, were taken as a sample, who fulfill all requeriments of inclusion and exclusion and gave their informed consent. The study was done from June to December, 2002, The information was processed in a compatible IBM computer through Microstat SPSS statistic system for Windows, it was applied descriptive static, frequency distribution and contingence tables. The more representative ages were from 55 to 60 years, femenine sex prevailed and the most frequent affections: sacrolumbalgias and cervicoobrachialgias. The first was the disease whicg had a rapid and positive reaction to acupuntural treatment and with less quantity of points to stimulate. In all patients treated, it was achieved a successful response to treatment and adverse reactions presented in a minimum of cases.
