Abstract

RODILES MARTINEZ, Félix  and  PACHECO TELLEZ, Francisco. Textiloma: Foreign body in the abdominal cavity. AMC [online]. 2005, vol.9, n.1, pp. 118-125. ISSN 1025-0255.

A 36 years old, male patient is presented. He was assisted in the service of general surgery at Dr. Octavio de la Concepción y de la Pedraja Clinical Surgical Military Hospital of Camagüey City. He was admitted with presuntive diagnosis of intraperitoneal bridles and suboclusion crisis. The complementary test performed, were not concluding. Video laparoscopic surgery was carried out and a retroperitoneal tumor of approximately 20 cm diameter and high quantity of postsurgical bridles, were detected. The tumor was resected and 40 cm of the small bowel.The anatomopathologic study demonstrated the presence of textiloma.
