PEREZ ALVAREZ, Luis  and  YERA ALVAREZ, Maris Lienis. Frequency of atypical courses of the development in pre-school age children. AMC [online]. 2007, vol.11, n.4, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1025-0255.

The infantile disability constitutes a health problem, to detect it prematurely permits the beginning of the early attention. The evaluation of the course of development in 556 children in ages between four months and five years, resident in Nuevitas city, was  carried out, by means of the application of the standardized questionnaire - ages stages.  It was shown that the 11.33 % of the evaluated were carrier of atypical courses of the development, these turned out to be more frequent in the ages 13-24, 49-60 and 4-12 months, and the greater problems were reflected in the motoricity and the oral communication.  Prematurity and the convulsions at birth were the factors that being present determined a greater relative risk of atypical course of development in the study object sample.
