Abstract

Biosafety represents a vital component of the quality guarantee system; is a doctrine addresses to achieve attitudes and behaviours in order to decrease the worker risk of acquiring infections in the workplace. Different opinions related to the topic and the compliance of the established patterns constitute a problem in Cuban stomatological community and in the whole world. That is the reason why, it is conceived this work, in which, a bibliographic revision was made, many texts and articles from Biological Agents, Sterilization, Labor Hygiene and Epidemiology were consulted, as well as, different and specialized stomatological subjects, with the objective of arguing the behaviour of stomatological staff in order to prevent transmission diseases during this professional practice. As a conclusion we can say that strict compliance of these principles avoids, or at least, reduces the transmission of infectious diseases in the workplace.
