Abstract

The present article is the sixth of a series of seven, all relatives to the energy dissipators that can be used in hydraulic works. The whole group of these articles conform a monograph about the subject that is being prepared by the author, concluding it by the middle of the 2017 year and later on incorporating it into a new edition - in preparation - of the textbook "Spillways and Intake Structures". This sixth article is a detailed presentation about the baffled apron employed with an energy dissipation function and of the riprap frequently placed at the exit (discharge) of the energy disipators.
