Abstract

DE LA TORRE NAVARRO, Lilia María  and  DOMINGUEZ GOMEZ, José. ICT in the teaching-learning process besed on learning objects. RCIM [online]. 2012, vol.4, n.1, pp. 83-92. ISSN 1684-1859.

The information and communication technologies (ICT) have broaden the possibilities of knowledge and information transmission, in which the pupil plays the predominant role, leaving the educator with a second role. The ICT sustain the learning objects (LO), digital entities self-sustained and reusable, with objectives, constituted by three editable internal components: contents, learning activities and contextualization components. Moreover, the metadata facilitates its identification, storage and localization. Also it must be present other characteristics: educability, interoperability accessibility, self-regeneration, flexibility, etc. In this study we try to characterize the learning objects and other characteristics of the teaching-learning process in the virtual mode. Various reviews were carried out on electronic articles, databases of national and international pedagogical journals. We conclude that it is important to implement the LO in order to develop abilities and strategies for the pupils at any learning situation.

Keywords : learning object; metadata learning object; self-contained digital entity; digital entity reusable; learning object repository.
