Parallel to the transformation from the dental profession to profession, developed a teaching-learning process, the subject of teaching, which connects teachers with students through their culture. In this regard it is important to know the main components of the process of professionalization of dentistry: the teaching and learning in the early first empirical, the actions of trade associations, relations with the state, with other professions and occupations in the field of health and eventually into the University for such purpose, there are several sections. The aim of this review is to study dentistry as a profession and to address the question what academic characteristics are manifested in the transformation of the profession of dental professionals in dentistry?
