Abstract

This work is aimed at ascertaining how changes should occur in the city in ways that benefit and improve standards of environmental quality of urban spaces. For this, we started from the analysis of the importance of the management of urban form, from the way the elements that constitute it, influence the behavior of the thermal microclimate. This research aims to identify the typological-formal areas that characterize the city of Sagua la Grande, from the method of photo-interpretation of plans. The results demonstrate the presence of 11 typological formal areas in the city of Sagua la Grande, from analysis criteria that relate urban elements that make the outdoor spaces that influence the thermal microclimate.
