Abstract

ZALDIVAR-CASTRO, Antonio Bernabé  and  OCONNOR-MONTERO, Lierli. Theoretical-methodological resources for the innovative management from university inventions protected by patents. Ing. Ind. [online]. 2012, vol.33, n.3, pp. 249-259. ISSN 1815-5936.

Insufficient exploitation of patents arising from university research in Cuba, specifically at the Polytechnic University of Havana “José Antonio Echeverría” (ISPJAE, in its Spanish acronym), and the conviction of its importance for economic development, generate the need for certain methodological resources that facilitate the transfer of protected technological results to economic sectors. The objective of this study is to construct theoretical and methodological resources that contribute to innovative management. The result lies in a concordance model, a methodology derived from the model and a techno-economic search engine (JUMIRLY). The theoretical-methodological conception that was elaborated, reached the goal of finding an alternative, under which a resource could be provided, to encourage the management for technological innovations in the economic sectors, from university patents.

Keywords : innovation; university patents; concordance models.
