Technology management is one of the essential function of manufacturing companies, particularly the smaller ones. Entrepreneurs who manager them must possess certain skills that help strengthen their strategic thinking. The work was carried out in the productive sector of small sawmills in the province of Misiones, Argentina. As an objective assessment of the skills required by employers for the revitalization of their strategic thinking was raised. Its preparation methods were used as the search for bibliographic information, consultation with experts and the use of a statistical technique. As a result it was determined that the personal skills they bring to strategic thinking entrepreneurs are primarily business attitude, leadership and integrative perspective. The work represents an important contribution to the strategic analysis of sawmilling small businesses, which should be further developed with the development of research.
