Abstract
MOYA-RODRIGUEZ, Jorge Laureano; MARTY-DELGADO, José Roberto and TACLE-HUMANANTE, Paul Marcelo. Multi objective optimization of asymmetric spur gear transmission. Ingeniería Mecánica [online]. 2020, vol.23, n.2 Epub Aug 01, 2020. ISSN 1815-5944.
In this paper, a multi objective optimization of asymmetric spur gear transmission is carried out using the modified Nondominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA II). To achieve this goal, three pairs optimization problem are formulated: minimum tooth stress and minimum transmission volume, minimum tooth stress and maximum coating factor, minimum transmission volume and maximum robustness index. Constraints considered include wheel tooth thickness, correction coefficient, and constant center distance. The optimization procedure used provides functions to find the parameters that minimize or maximize the objective functions respecting the restrictions. As results, optimal values are obtained for the robustness index and tooth stress, demonstrating the validity of the procedure used for its easy adaptation to complex mathematical models.
