In the contemporary Angolan society, the researches related with pedagogical professional orientation are rapidly increasing in all educational levels, since it´s aimed at increasing the living conditions of the citizens as well as fulfilling the social demand of counting of well-trained teachers who are committed with the progress of the country.

In this sense, the debate on the diagnosis of the professional orientation has a great significance considering the diversity of approaches and methodologies that circulate within the scientific community through different sources.

The present paper is aimed at substantiating the importance of the diagnosis of the pedagogical professional orientation since early ages and the conception assumed to analyze it from a scientific viewpoint. In addition, the strengths and weaknesses detected in the Bié High Pedagogical School are presented considering the dimensions and indicators related to the students and their needs of professional training. Such needs increase the comprehension of the necessity of including all the educative factors with possibilities of contributing to enhance the quality of the pedagogical professional orientation.
