Abstract

Background:
the improvement of the study plan and its implementation constitutes a need at all teaching levels that derive from the experiences obtained and the results achieved while teaching.
Objective:
to perfect the program of Regulating Systems of the Internal Environment subject directed to undergraduate students of the Dentistry degree.
Methods:
a development, descriptive, prospective and longitudinal research was carried out at "Raúl González Sánchez" School of dentistry at Havana University of Medical Sciences. We used theoretical and empirical methods supported by an updated bibliographical foundation that allowed us to reach the results that are proposed.
Results:
elements in favor of the need to create two subjects out of "Regulating Systems of the Internal Environment", and the bases of the program of one of them were proposed: Hormonal Regulation of Metabolism and Reproduction.
Conclusions:
the proposal was considered relevant, useful and responds to the needs that motivated its conception.
