Abstract

The work presented aims, valuing the dichotomy of herniated discs as a preventable disease or a consequence of modernity, for which an exploratory research was conducted, which were used as fundamental tools, interview and survey, and applied to a probabilistic sample intentionally submitting the aforementioned condition. As a main result an analysis of the main root causes of disease and its evolution to physical therapy and combination chemotherapy in addition to the assessment of the impact of the change of attitude in the process of rehabilitation and social reintegration, with a valuation is achieved the social costs involved, explicit, by highlighting it as something not associated with modernity but the styles and ways of life, and individual characteristics.
