Abstract

Sustainable-complex approach for integrated management of arid territories with agroproductive orientation in Mexico. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.2, pp. 202-209. ISSN 2218-3620.

From complex systems, and the particularities of the natural environment is argumented why the integrated management can be approached from this perspective. The singular case is described, Moctezuma, municipality of Northwest Mexico, an arid territory whit agroproductive orientation where water is a limiting factor. The practice of agriculture, livestock, soil management and water use, as major aspects of local development are characterized; a correlation is made between environmental and peculiarities of complex systems. It concludes on the need to manage and efficiently combine the use of water resources from new epistemic positions, and the benefits of complex systems for such purposes.
