Theoretical contributions about peasantry in agrarian studies in Cuba are a result of social research from social studies of science and technology’s conception and sociology. As a science, it allows approaching an important issue in Cuba and in the world. Food production has become debate agenda for decision makers. However, science should contribute to better management and administration of all social processes and phenomena that affect it. This article provides an analysis model for food producers understanding in a particular context, where structural transformations modified agricultural production relations. Also, it is an example of social sciences contribution to food production.
