In the last decades the problem of university teachers’ performance evaluation has been discussed in global and regional audiences with the participation of diverse actors. It is clear that this concern is due to the fact that it constitutes an essential premise to face any significant transformation of society and sustainable human development from higher education. This work offers a universal view of this process based on the results of research studies carried out by their authors jointly, as part of academic training actions that transcend the university walls. Angola and Cuba. The process of evaluating the performance of teachers in higher education is promoted from a dynamic perspective, of exchange and transforming, in order to contribute to an educator formation, who, under a dialectical approach, solve difficulties and develop their potential in an integral way, while integrating the needs of their educational environments to their knowledge, in accordance with the geographic diversity of nations, in a way that promotes the endogenous and sustainable development of each region.
