ACEVEDO URQUIAGA, Ana Julia et al. Logistics training in Cuba: Challenges and prospects. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.1, pp. 172-182.  Epub Mar 02, 2019. ISSN 2218-3620.

The degree of development of the logistics of a country affects directly the successful performance of the economic-social sectors, since the logistic processes articulate the linkages in the national and international economy. In Cuba, the different economic, productive, commercial and social sectors are hampered by logistical deficiencies in the operation of their processes, which is supported by case studies in various scientific publications and it is frequently the subject of the national press. The objective of this paper is to analyze the different training strategies in logistics issues in Cuba and their development perspectives. To clarify the status of this topic, a bibliographical review of the curricular programs of professional education in the country is carried out and the subjects related to logistics issues are identified. It also presents a study of the problems of business practice related to logistics and proposes perspectives for the development of logistics professional training according to the country's strategy.
