Eradicating gender violence in Ecuador, has been a governmental priority since 2007. The Plan for the Eradication of Violence against Children, Adolescents and Women, comprehensively addressed the generation of policies and programs for prevention, protection, punishment and restitution of the rights of victims of any type of violence. In the same way, in the Constitution of the Republic of 2008, the right to personal integrity was established. Our work is addressed in the constant foundation and dissemination of this subject, where there is still a social ignorance of its main elements that cause it, its effects as well as provisions to mitigate them.
