Abstract

The following presentation intends to make a brief analysis of the history and development that Pentecostalism has had in Cuba, taking as reference the Cienfuegos context, in a period of crisis where dissatisfactions, disorientations and feelings of lack of protection prevailed, in which power religious, as an explanation, support, hope, help and response to the unknown. The religious began to express and reflect the impacts of the changes, giving them new meanings from the faith. For the development of the research, the qualitative methodology was assumed and the phenomenological method was used. Techniques and instruments of the qualitative paradigm were applied. These techniques were, semi-structured interview, structured interview, document analysis and observation.
