Abstract
DIAZ BACALLAO, Aylí; MONZON BRUGUERA, Yailen and BOLUFE MALBOA, Susana. Main environmental legal principles for the conformation of the legal framework of solid urban waste in Cuba. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.1, pp. 392-401. Epub Mar 02, 2019. ISSN 2218-3620.
Common solid waste currently represents one of the biggest sources of environmental pollution. Faced with this situation, legal solutions should be sought to help mitigate the effects they cause on the environment. Cuba does not have a legal rule whose purpose is the regulation of common solid waste and establish its legal principles, which are the pillars on which legal norms are based, inspire and inform. Given the lack described, it is necessary to determine environmental legal principles for the formation of the legal framework for common solid waste in the country. In order to achieve this objective, the principles of Environmental Law and the principles of common solid waste contributed by scholars of the subject are analyzed, as well as the legal and normative treatment of these in Cuba. The main result of the investigation consists in the analysis of the theoretical and normative status of the subject in Cuba in order to serve as a basis for the determination of the main environmental legal principles that should configure the legal regime of common solid waste in Cuba.
Keywords : Enviromental legal principles; common solid waste.
