The study is part of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the educational field, with the aim of characterizing the use of these technologies as a teaching and learning strategy. It is based on a methodology that responds to a descriptive research with quantitative-qualitative approach, systematized by the hermeneutic, analytic-synthetic and statistical methods. Among the main results are: the availability of the necessary basic technological resources, the technological mastery on the part of the students, insufficient systematization of these tools as means of teaching and for carrying out tasks; as well as the non-combination and variety of these technologies as an innovative teaching and learning strategy.

Keywords : ICT; strategy; teaching; learning; basic education.
