The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of public policies aimed at strengthening the Autonomous Aggregate Demand during the period 2017-2021 in Ecuador. The research was of a basic and quantitative type due to the treatment of the data; descriptive - explanatory level; and the design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, applying data collection techniques: Observation and documentary analysis. To process the data, the techniques called: classification and organization of data, tabulation of data, tables and statistical representations were used. Statistical tables were used to represent the information. The documentary review allowed us to analyze the macroeconomic reports provided by the Central Bank of Ecuador and the Institute of Statistics and Censuses of Ecuador (INEC). The study focused on the analysis of growth that drives aggregate demand in its components: household consumption and investment, therefore, government intervention with the implementation of public policies is justified by incentive policies in order to overcome processes of economic crisis and even fiscal deficit. The results of the research indicate that the recovery of the Ecuadorian economy will be slow, given the complexity of the macroeconomic imbalances that are not easy to resolve and that require economic and institutional reforms in the medium and long term.
