Introduction: The first years of development of the human being are decisive for "brain plasticity", this period extends up to 6 years, stage in which language, emotions and the means of expression of these two aspects will intervene in the future. with the development of their affectivity and social ties. Objective: this study seeks to explore aspects related to the manifestation and assimilation of communication and emotions during early childhood. Methodology: as it is a bibliographical research, an extensive documentary exploration was used within the databases: Scielo, Ebsco, Redalyc, World Wide, Science.org, Redil and Scopus, in addition to the main postgraduate repositories. Graphics were included due to the topic addressed and the importance of reader-oriented visual and pedagogical elements, respecting copyright and APA standards. Conclusions: Three elements are defined: the importance of prenatal development, the correct holistic-sensitive stimulation from 0 to 6 years, the social environment which includes state policies.
