Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the effectiveness of public investment in the health indicators of the institutions providing health services (IPRESS) in the Huan-cavelica Region, 2015 - 2019. It was a substantive and retrospective study; explanatory level; non-experimental design of the ex post facto type. The sample consisted of 74 Health Service Provider Institutions (IPRESS) of the first level of care in the Huancavelica Region in the investment cycle in the execution phase; the technique was the documentary analysis and instrument the documentary analysis file of the Investment Monitoring System of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the statistical database of the Regional Health Directorate of Huancavelica. Results: Public investment in the health sector did not comply with the investment cycle, since 73.0% did not transfer the investment to the health sector to guarantee the operation phase; Likewise, only 1 indicator of the 5 evaluated was met, which was the health indicator of the adolescent life stage, reached 71.6%; In addition, in the child, adult, elderly and pregnant stages of life they failed to meet the goal, reaching non-compliance of 86.5%, 55.4%, 86.5% and 71.6% respectively; Finally, 59.5% of the IPRESS with Public Investment Projects (PIP) adequately executed failed to meet the goals of the health indicators, meanwhile, 13.5% did manage to meet the goal of the health indicators. . Conclusion: Public investment during 2015-2019 was not effective, because it did not meet the goal of health indicators in IPRESS with investment in the Huancavelica Region.
