Abstract

SUST CANO, Neilys Alicia; LOBELLES SARDINAS, Gabriel Orlando  and  GUTIERREZ BRUNET, Mayelín. GASOLINE FOR STOPPING THE MHC + HCK UNITS OF CIENFUEGOS REFINERY MIXING SCHEME. cen. az. [online]. 2019, vol.46, n.2, pp. 54-62.  Epub June 01, 2019. ISSN 2223-4861.

The Camilo Cienfuegos refinery is immersed in an investment process to raising the economic profitability indexes, for this reason a refining scheme with deep conversion has been designed where the gasoline mixture from the new implemented processes component streams, will increase in quantity and quality. It is vitally important once the gas mixture scheme and its quality are designed, keep it. In this sense, with Hydrocracking and Moderate Hydrocracking units’ stoppage, the objective of this work is to determine the optimal mixing scheme that guarantees the required quality standards. A bibliographic review was made on the refining schemes, the mixing process and the currents that make up the mixture. The Industrial Process Modeling System PIMS was used as a mathematical tool, which guarantees process economic feasibility in shutdown event of these units. Resulting gasoline blending scheme maximizes the refinery's revenues in work scenario.

Keywords : Quality; gasoline; blending; PINS system.
