Abstract

This paper deals with theories that society-nature relations unavoidably involve cultural construction of development, its theories, and the use of extracted resources for social reproduction, and that today´s environmental problems are the result of both cultural and theoretical evolutions of the current growth model and its society-technology-nature relations. Additionally, it presents a theoretical perspective on development which can solve ecological crisis by means of the concept of sustainable development which puts more emphasis on human development.
