Abstract
CRUZ REYES, Jesús and CARDENAS MARTINEZ, Francisco. Cooperative principles in conflict. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2018, vol.6, n.3 ISSN 2308-0132.
This paper addresses the fact that cooperatives have grown numerically in the sphere of trade and services, they are very weak in the productive sphere, their huge social mass is very heterogeneous at present, formed not only by simple workers but also soldiers, police officers, well-paid civil servants and others that can be found; it is likely that a different interpretation of cooperative values and principles will also correspond to this diverse social composition.
This work has as an object of attention the deviation of cooperative values and principles by the organizations that should sustain them. These deviations can be caused by internal factors and by the pressures exerted by the harsh environment of capitalist economic relations on the behavior of cooperatives. This work shows not the solidarity of some cooperatives but their pro-capitalist orientation
