ARIAS-ACHIO, Rafael. In Search of Social Justice: Approaches from Political Philosophy and the Normative Theory of International Relations. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2019, vol.7, n.1, pp. 123-138.  Epub Sep 01, 2019. ISSN 2308-0132.

This article analyzes the treatment of the concept of social justice in contemporary political philosophy and in the normative theory of International Relations. It also analyzes the debates of social justice in the domestic scenario of nation-states and the debates about how to build social justice in the international scenario. A review is made of the positions of distributive justice, justice through cultural recognition, and the conciliatory approach of both participatory parity. Later he reflects, from the international stage, cosmopolitanism and communitarianism and its relationship with social justice debates in the domestic scenario. It is concluded that the normative theory of International Relations and the debates about social justice should move from the periphery to the center of attention of the International Relations discipline.

Keywords : social justice; normative theory; political philosophy; cosmopolitanism; communitarianism.
