Abstract

SORHEGUI-ORTEGA, Rafael; VERGARA-ROMERO, Arnaldo  and  GARNICA-JARRIN, Lisette. Post-growth Economy: A Vision of Multiple Theoretical Perspectives. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2021, vol.9, n.2  Epub July 01, 2021. ISSN 2308-0132.

Economic growth is not only a central objective in politics, but it is also deeply rooted in economic thought. The possibilities of mapping a post-growth economy can be discussed with the mainstream models and a discussion can be started on the extent to which the mechanisms and relationships described by the current models correspond to reality. This research aims to understand the post-growth economy from an economic perspective as an economy whose Internal Production per capita stagnates. It is argued that the inclusion of heterodox approaches makes far-reaching changes much more necessary for a post-growth economy than an analysis based solely on the mainstream.

Keywords : economic thought; post-growth economy; heterodox economy; reproductive economy; solidarity economy; multiple paradigms.
