Abstract

The social impacts of climate change include, on the one hand, the direct effects (psychological and sociological) that it causes on human beings and; on the other, the consequences that emanate from the rest of the impacts already described, which aggravate the situation. of people, communities or countries, and increase their vulnerabilities, leading to a further state of total social insecurity. In this sense, the most basic conditions of life are affected, such as: food, health, housing, employment, education, drinking water supply, sanitation, among others. In the province of Pinar del Río, coastal settlements are the most vulnerable to climate change. This article deals with the proposal of a software prototype for the evaluation of the social impact of climate change in coastal settlements in the province of Pinar del Río. For this, the main related systems found were addressed. Finally, the technologies, tools and methodology for the development of the system are presented.
